Health logging · beyond the notebook

Blood pressure and blood sugar log app for families

Kiangkang is a blood pressure and blood sugar log app for people who have been writing readings in a notebook by the medicine cabinet. Two things the notebook cannot do: log a reading with no signal and have it upload itself later, and export a clinic-day file that combines medication summaries with the health details supported by CSV or PDF. In between, what you log becomes a daily, weekly and monthly chart on its own.

From notebook to phone in a few taps

Open the app and pick what you are logging: blood pressure, blood sugar, or BMI. Blood pressure takes systolic and diastolic, and a pulse if your monitor shows one — all three are kept as one measurement. For BMI you enter weight and height; the app does the arithmetic and stores both the weight and the BMI for that day. Every field is a large plus-minus stepper, so a number can be nudged into place without hunting across a tiny keyboard. When a reading is close to the last one, tap "use last value" and change only what moved. And if there is no connection at that moment — a weak signal at home, a consulting room — the app writes to the phone first and queues the upload, syncing on its own once you are back online. Nothing has to be memorised and typed in later.

A trend you can see, not a pile of numbers

Each metric has its own history screen with three views: the last 30 days by day, the last 8 weeks by week, and the last 6 months by month. Every point is the average for its period, so a day you measured three times does not tilt the whole line. Blood pressure draws systolic and diastolic as a pair; a pulse you entered gets a chart of its own; and a summary row above shows the lowest, average and highest value in the selected window. Charts and history are not rationed by plan. What appears on screen depends on how much you have logged, not on whether you have paid.

Clinic day: CSV and PDF summarise different details

Open the report screen and choose a range up to 365 days back. The free CSV contains daily medication totals, one row per health entry with only its primary value, unit and measurement time, and up to five most-missed medicines. For blood pressure, the CSV currently omits diastolic and pulse. The Premium PDF contains daily medication totals, only the latest primary value for each health metric type, and up to five most-missed medicines; it is not a complete reading history. The finished file goes out through the phone's share sheet — LINE, email, or saved to print. Generating it needs an internet connection.

Photograph the monitor and let the AI type it in

If you would rather not type at all, open the camera in the app and photograph your blood-pressure monitor. The AI reads the systolic, diastolic and pulse and fills them into the logging form. Every number stays editable, and nothing is saved until you press save yourself. Scanning spends an AI credit — a single shared pool used by the other AI features too: reading a medicine label, reading a prescription, checking interactions, arranging a dose schedule, and reviewing side effects. The free plan includes 5 credits a month for all six together; Premium gets 20 a day. The app shows how many credits remain before you press the shutter, and nothing is deducted until a photo is actually taken. This feature needs an internet connection. Typing a reading in with the plus-minus steppers costs no credit and has no limit.

A good fit when

  • Someone wants to replace a paper log without losing the ability to record offline.
  • A family wants daily, weekly, and monthly views of measurements already taken.
  • A clinic visit would benefit from a shareable summary of supported records.

Keep in mind

  • Generating CSV or PDF report files needs an internet connection.
  • Exports are scoped summaries, not complete copies of every health-record detail.
  • Kiangkang records and displays measurements; it does not diagnose a condition.

What it does — and what it doesn't

Four numbers, one place

Blood pressure, blood sugar and BMI from one form, logged as often as you like — with systolic, diastolic and pulse kept together as one reading, and your weight stored alongside every BMI entry.

Works with no signal

The app saves to the phone first, shows the reading immediately, and uploads on its own once the connection returns.

One file with medication summaries and supported primary values

CSV includes daily medication totals and each health entry's primary value; PDF includes daily medication totals and the latest primary value for each metric type.

It records, it does not diagnose

Kiangkang is not a medical device. It stores and displays what you measured; interpreting the numbers is your doctor's job.

Frequently asked questions

Is it free, and what is actually limited?

It is free, no card required, with no cap on readings logged by hand; charts and history are free too. The free plan includes 5 AI credits a month shared by six credit-based features, while assistant chat has a separate allowance; Premium gets 20 credits a day. PDF export is Premium and CSV is free. Premium is ฿149 a month, or ฿650 for the first year only when the store shows that offer, renewing at ฿990 a year. The 7-day free trial is also store-controlled.

Can I log a reading without internet?

Yes. The app writes to the phone first and queues the upload, syncing automatically once you are back online, and the new reading appears on your summary right away. The two things that do need a connection are generating a report file and the AI scan, because both talk to the server.

How do I give my doctor my past readings?

Go to the report screen and choose a range up to 365 days back. Free CSV contains daily medication totals plus each health entry's primary value; Premium PDF contains daily medication totals plus only the latest primary value for each metric type. Both include up to five most-missed medicines and open the phone's share sheet.

Will the app tell me whether a reading is normal?

The app shows a colour band against general reference ranges, so you can see roughly where a reading sits — but that band is a display, not a verdict. Kiangkang is not a medical device. It does not diagnose, treat, or recommend treatment. Its job is to keep the numbers you measured, show them as a chart, and make them easy to hand to a professional. For interpretation and any decision about medication, always ask your doctor or pharmacist.

My parents struggle to type on a phone. Can they still use it?

The fields are large plus-minus steppers, so a value can be stepped up or down without typing, and "use last value" brings back the previous reading so only the changed number needs editing. If that is still awkward, photograph the monitor and let the AI fill the numbers in — and elder mode enlarges the type and buttons across the whole app.
