Capture details for a safer professional conversation

Track medication side effects and notice what repeats

Kiangkang separates side-effect logging from AI pattern analysis. A log records the symptom description, severity 1–5, linked medicine and the time you log it, and is saved on your device first. Analysis is a later, explicit online action after at least 5 entries have synced to your Kiangkang account. The cited sources support general medicine-risk awareness; the storage and threshold details explain how Kiangkang currently works.

What to record while the detail is fresh

Describe what you noticed in your own words, choose severity 1–5, and link the medicine you suspect may be relevant. The app stamps the moment you save the entry — that is the time you logged it, not the time the symptom started, so write it down as soon as you can. Those four fields make a later conversation more concrete without claiming the medicine caused the symptom. The record is saved on your device first, then sent to your Kiangkang account when a connection is available. Saving a record does not start AI analysis, notify a clinician or make a diagnosis.

Connect the symptom, time and medicine without assuming a cause

Review the entries as observations. A repeated logging time or a link to one medicine can be useful to mention, but association is not proof that the medicine caused the symptom. Other medicines, health conditions and circumstances may matter. Bring the log and the original medicine labels to a pharmacist or doctor. Do not stop or change a medicine or dose from a pattern you noticed yourself or from anything the app later summarizes.

Pattern analysis begins after 5 synced entries

The optional AI action becomes available only after at least 5 entries have synced to your Kiangkang account. Entries still only on your device do not count yet. Starting analysis requires internet, health-AI consent and one credit from the shared AI credit pool. This is not passive monitoring. You choose when to request analysis, and the output can miss, overstate or misunderstand a pattern. It is not automatically reviewed by a clinician and does not trigger automatic alerts or reports.

When not to wait for the tracker

Severe or urgent symptoms need medical help without waiting for the app, a fifth entry, network sync or an AI result. Follow emergency guidance where you are and contact appropriate medical services. For a non-urgent concern, show the actual records to a pharmacist or doctor who can consider the wider clinical picture. The tracker preserves what you entered; it does not decide whether a symptom is an allergy, side effect or another condition.

A good fit when

  • You want consistent details to bring to a pharmacist or doctor.
  • A symptom has happened more than once and timing may help the conversation.
  • You understand that recording and optional AI analysis are separate actions.

Keep in mind

  • Each entry is saved on your device first; AI analysis only uses entries that have synced to your Kiangkang account.
  • Analysis needs at least 5 entries synced to your Kiangkang account, internet, health-AI consent and one shared AI credit.
  • AI does not diagnose, monitor symptoms passively, alert a clinician or replace urgent medical help.

The logging and analysis boundaries

Four details per observation

Record a symptom description, severity 1–5 and the linked medicine without declaring a cause; the app stamps the time you log it.

Saved on your device first

The entry is stored locally first; logging remains separate from the optional AI analysis.

Five entries in your account before analysis

At least 5 entries must be synced to your Kiangkang account before the online AI pattern action becomes available.

One shared credit with consent

Starting analysis requires internet, health-AI consent and one shared AI credit; its output is only a discussion aid.

Frequently asked questions

What should I record for a possible medication side effect?

Record the symptom description, severity 1–5 and the linked medicine. The app stamps the time you log it, so log it as soon as you can — that timestamp is when you wrote it down, not when the symptom began. Describe what happened without deciding that the medicine caused it, then share the record with a pharmacist or doctor.

Why does AI analysis need five entries?

The current feature only enables analysis after at least 5 entries have synced to your Kiangkang account. A record still only on your device does not count yet, and reaching five does not make the result a diagnosis.

Does side-effect analysis use a credit and consent?

Yes. You explicitly start it online after the entry threshold is met. It requires health-AI consent and uses one credit from the shared AI-credit pool. Simply logging a symptom does not use AI.

What can the AI result tell me?

It can suggest patterns across the synced records you entered. It can miss or misread patterns, cannot diagnose a condition or prove a medicine caused a symptom, and is not clinician-reviewed or automatically reported.

What should I do about a severe or urgent symptom?

Seek appropriate medical help without waiting for the app, sync, five entries or AI analysis. The tracker does not monitor you or send automatic emergency alerts.
